These two examples of light bulbs show a modification to the threaded base.  The base and collar are now made of plaster of paris rather than the wood used earlier in the year.  But the filaments are still made of carbonized Japanese bamboo connected with copper plated clamps and screws.  They were manufactured around 1881.
