Edison Pioneers

In 1916 a group of long-time Edison employees formed an organization called the Edison Pioneers, to commemorate Edison’s work and their own longevity of service. Some of the Edison Pioneers had worked for Edison since 1876 and the days of Menlo Park. General Electric also started organizations for its employees. The GE Quarter Century Club started in 1914 as a social organization for employees with 25 years service or more. GE also began organizations for 40-year and 50-year employees.
